Located in the heart of the Junction Triangle, the Anansi Bookshop is home to award-winning fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and CanLit, published by one of Canada’s oldest independent publishers, House of Anansi.
The Anansi Bookshop, located right next to the Drake Commissary and Henderson Brewery, is also home to children’s and young adult titles by Groundwood Books, recipient of the most Governor General’s Literary Awards in Canada.
The Anansi bookstore is wheelchair accessible via a separate entrance. Please call ahead for assistance.
We accept cash, debit, and credit. We also have gift certificates available for sale. Pets are enthusiastically welcomed and photographed for Instagram.

The front door to the Anansi Bookshop is at 128 Sterling Road, with access down two steps from the sidewalk. There is an accessible entrance to our office and bookshop through the front door of 128A Sterling Road, the adjoining building, which is west of us through the parking lot, on the other side of Henderson’s Brewery. If you will use the accessible entrance please contact us at 416 363-4343 x 0 and we will meet you to show you the way in.
