Employment at House of Anansi Press / Groundwood Books
When we are looking to fill a position at the company, we will post the job description along with details of how to apply on our site and on industry job boards online, such as Quill and Quire and WorkInCulture. Please check those locations regularly to learn of any open positions.
House of Anansi Press / Groundwood Books offers one or two specialized internships each year. When we have an internship available we notify the administrators of those post-secondary publishing programs that include an internship as part of the course requirement, and the administrators may then circulate the details to students who are enrolled in those programs. The purpose of each internship is to provide a student enrolled in a college or university program with practical training to complement that student’s classroom learning, and therefore we are only able to consider internship applicants who are actively enrolled in such a program. We are not able to offer internships otherwise.
We regret that we are not able to offer any high-school co-op placements this year.
Occasionally we are asked by teachers if we can host short informational visits for their classes who want to learn more about the business of writing, publishing and bookselling. We are open to these requests but ask for plenty of advance notice, and advise that we may not always be able to accommodate every request. If you would like to inquire about scheduling a visit, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have an employment-related question that is not addressed above, please send an email inquiry to email@example.com. Thank you.
